Bible-ingredient skincare: the Scripture behind the jar
We didn't set out to make a "Christian" moisturizer — we set out to make an honest one. But the more we looked at what belonged in the jar, the more the Bible seemed to have written the recipe centuries ago. Olive oil. Frankincense. Honey. The fat of the herd, set apart. Here is the Scripture behind each of the five.
Olive oil — for anointing
Olive oil runs all through the Book as a symbol of blessing and care. "You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows" (Psalm 23:5). Pressed from the same fruit that anointed kings and travelers for thousands of years, it brings a quiet, golden softness to the balm.
Frankincense — a gift to the newborn Savior
Frankincense was one of the gifts the magi carried to Bethlehem: "they offered him gifts, gold and frankincense and myrrh" (Matthew 2:11). It appears again in the holy incense of Exodus 30 and rising with the prayers of the saints in Revelation 8. In the jar, it gives a soft, woody warmth.
Honey — sweetness of the Word
Scripture compares gracious words to honey: "Gracious words are like a honeycomb, sweetness to the soul and health to the body" (Proverbs 16:24). A whisper of raw honey adds that same quiet sweetness.
Tallow — the best portion
And the fat of the herd is treated, again and again, as the finest part — set apart and never wasted. "All the fat is the Lord's" (Leviticus 3:16). Our tallow is single-source from one named Angus herd, the very best portion offered plainly.
Vanilla — a small grace
The fifth is simply a small grace at the finish: calm, sweet, and rounded, the way a good day ends.
You're welcome here, either way
We reference the Word warmly, never as a sales tactic. If a faithful reader feels proud opening this jar and a reader of any other background feels welcomed, we've done it right. The ingredients speak plainly on their own — five things, nothing else.
